Health reporter Mike Adams (July 31, 2010) points out that the upcoming flu vaccine has caused  oncern among US officials. The labels need to be changed because it appears to have caused a "higher than usual rate of seizures in children." The odd thing is that no one was told what the "usual" rate of seizures in children is. We've been told these shots are Doctor Cartoonsafe. If they can cause seizures, what else can they cause? Why haven't all these complications of vaccination been identified and reported?

"The labeling for one vaccine, CSL Limited's Afluria, has undergone changes this season to inform health care providers about an increased incidence of fever and febrile seizure.... The FDA said it was asking CSL to conduct a study of its vaccine in children."

Our comments: so the choice is between having a miserable kid for a few days or possible brain damage. We think kids can handle a few days of flu much easier than a lifetime of brain damage. And we know the MDs, pharmaceutical companies and the government run the other way when it comes to paying for this "side effect."

Your sciatic nerve is the longest and largest nerve in your body. When such a large nerve becomes inflamed the condition is called sciatica (pronounced si'ad-a'ka) and the pain can be intense! The pain may follow the path of your nerve - down the back of your legs and thighs, down to your ankle, foot and toes - but it can also radiate to your back with burning, pins and needles or tingling. Ugh!

Causes of sciatica can include an unhealthy spine with a protruded or ruptured disc which can irritate the sciatic nerve. Sciatica has been reported following accidents, injuries and childbirth.

The medical approach to sciatica is usually to treat the symptoms with painkillers, muscle relaxers, traction and physical therapy. Relief may be obtained by injecting painkillers directly into the nerve roots! In extreme cases orthopedic surgery may be resorted to.

The chiropractic approach has been a blessing to sciatica and leg painwoman spine sufferers for over a hundred years often saving them from surgery.

All sciatica sufferers should see a doctor of chiropractic to ensure they have a body free from subluxations. A subluxation causes structural distortions, disc and nerve pressure and may stress the entire body and brain! Chiropractors correct or adjust subluxations to relieve stress on the structure, nerves, joints and discs.

If you do have sciatica, from whatever cause, a chiropractic adjustment is needed to remove pressure on your nerves, rebalance your spine and body structure, release stress from your discs and permit your body's muscles, glands and tissues to function in a more balanced manner.

Every sciatica sufferer should visit their neighborhood doctor of chiropractic for a checkup. It could save them from needless drugs, injections and surgery.

Why does chiropractic help so many people in so many ways? Because it is not for conditions or diseases but for the whole body. When the body functions closer to optimum, self-healing is maximized. Chiropractors remove interference to body function by correcting subluxations so the body can function closer to its optimal potential.

Otitis Media (Ear Infection)

A nine-month-old boy with a history of recurring ear infections was presented by his mother for chiropractic care. The child had antibiotic therapy and the MDs were suggesting ear surgery and tubes.
Chiropractic care was actually initiated during an episode of otitis media. Cranial adjusting and sinus work along with vertebral subluxation correction was utilized and within one week both ears were reported clear. No ear infections have been reported since and the child is no longer on antibioticschildren spine and will not have surgery. (1)

Autism

A 6-year-old boy was brought to the chiropractor's office with reduced social interaction, altered behavioral patterns, language deficits and learning difficulties. He was diagnosed with autism by a neurologist. The child was fully vaccinated.
Chiropractic analysis determined the presence of vertebral subluxations in the child. Chiropractic adjustments along with dietary and supplementation recommendations were advised. Over the 16-week period improvements in learning abilities, social interactions, language skills and behavioral patterns were noted. (2)

Bipolar, Seizure, Sleep Disorders and Migraine Headaches

A 23-year-3 body systemsold man was suffering from bipolar disorder, sleep disorder, seizures, migraine headaches, and neck and back pain following a head-first fall at age 17 while pole vaulting. Evidence of an upper cervical (neck) subluxation was found and corrected with chiropractic adjustments. All of the patient's conditions had completely resolved by the seventh month of care and remained absent at the conclusion of care at 18 months. (3)

Chiropractic and headache. Patients received adjustments once or twice per week for 8 weeks. While everyone who received care benefitted, those who received more adjustments had the best outcomes with as much as a 50% improvement in pain. (1)

Chiropractic and dizziness. This study was designed to see if chiropractic care can affect balance, chronic pain and associated dizziness in older adults. Thirty-four (34) patients were enrolled in either a non-chiropractic care group or a chiropractic care group. Assessments were made at baseline and 1, 2, 6 and 12 months later.

binoculars For the 9 patients with dizziness, a clinically significant improvement in Dizziness Handicap Index scores was observed at 1 month and remained lower than baseline thereafter; this was not true of the group who did not receive chiropractic care. (2)

Chiropractic and motor and vocal tics. A 20-year-old woman began experiencing motor and vocal tics at the age of three. She had never taken medication for Tourette's Sydrome, but had tried to control it by taking magnesium and calcium supplements. Chiropractic care was administered after initial exam revealed disturbances to the nervous system resulting from vertebral subluxations that were found using chiropractic analysis. The patient was seen 32 times over the course of one year and experienced significant decreases in the occurrence and severity of her motor and vocal tic episodes as well as an improvement in headaches. This must be proof that there's a divine wisdom that loves us and wants us to be happy. Cocoa is known to contain flavanols, chemicals associated with improving the function of blood vessels, along with higher levels of antioxidants. Avoid brands that contain high fructose corn syrup (HFCS) and artificial flavorings. An eight-year study, of nearly 30,000 chocolate eggpeople aged 35 to 65, confirmed the results of previous, smaller studies into the health benefits of cocoa products ... even one square of chocolate can be beneficial. But researchers found that if the dose is increased by just six grams, there were 85 fewer heart attacks and strokes per 10,000 people.

There are too many drugs, too much surgery and little to show for it. The more drugs we take, the sicker we are.

We need to change our approach towards health.

The medical approach is bankrupting us and we're not getting health in return. Much of medical care involves waiting until someone is broken red and white pillsand then going to a doctor to get a name for it and drugs to suppress the symptoms.

Is there an alternative? There sure is! It's called chiropractic maintenance care (MC) - visiting your chiropractor periodically to keep healthy. Does it work? There are many studies revealing the physical and mental/emotional benefits of seeing a chiropractor. Look at this study of individuals 65 years of age and older that revealed that those under maintenance chiropractic care had:

·    Reduced nervousness
·    Possible reduced depression
·    50% reduction in medical visits
·    The need for hospitalization ... was 1/3 of people of the same age.

Want to solve the healthcare crisis that is bankrupting the country? Give everyone chiropractic care. The result will be less drug taking, less surgery and greater health. Wouldn't everyone want their parents and grandparents to have healthy spines and bodies with no subluxations damaging their nerves?

It's true. Numerous studies have confirmed what chiropractors and their patients have known for a long time: people who visit chiropractors for regular care are healthier - no matter how old or young.

For example, in one study the researchers concluded: "[Chiropractic] patients report significant positive changes in physical health, mental/emotional state, stress and life enjoyment..."
While in another study it was found that: "Chiropractic is associated with significant benefits in physical and mental/emotional state and combinedgirl exam wellness."

In yet another study the authors found that: "Chiropractic users were less likely to be hospitalized, less likely to use a nursing home, and less likely to use prescription drugs, more likely to have better health, to exercise, to be mobile." One of the more interesting things about this study was that it involved people over 75 years of age!!!

There's even more. An informal research poll we recently conducted in our office has revealed that not only are people who visit chiropractors healthier but they are also better looking, funnier, wittier and they sing better too!
